Lawyers warn of corporate killings loophole

Fewer companies than expected are likely to face prosecution under new corporate manslaughter laws because of restrictions in the planned legislation, lawyers will be told today.

The draft corporate manslaughter bill, which is designed to make it easier to prosecute companies that cause deaths, will limit liability to accidents that happen in England and Wales.
