Future of Lazard remains uncertain

Lazard faced questions on Wednesday over its future after the recent death of Bruce Wasserstein, its high-profile chief, as the investment bank reported better-than-expected third-quarter results.

Lazard saw its restructuring and asset management businesses outperform its slower merger advisory unit in a tepid environment for dealmaking in the third-quarter.
