Mongolian party calls for 'national unity' coalition

The Mongolian People's Revolutionary party has called for a "government of national unity" following parliament's dismissal of the Democratic party-led coalition of Tsakhia Elbegdorj, the prime minister.

The ex-communist MPRP's withdrawal from the ruling coalition last week sparked demonstrations by Democratic party supporters in Ulaanbataar and prompted warnings from Mr Elbegdorj that Mongolia faced a "dangerous situation".
