Bankers set to vent anger over derivatives rules

Leading banking industry representatives will meet international regulators in New York on Thursday to voice their concern over new derivatives trading rules.

Bankers say that the rules created as part of the Basel II package of reforms will dramatically raise the cost of many trading activities, particularly in complex financial instruments and private equity.
