Harvey Golub to become AIG chairman

AIG on Thursday confirmed the appointment of Harvey Golub, a former head of American Express, as its new chairman ahead of Friday’s second-quarter results.

Mr Golub’s emergence as the leading candidate to take over the chairmanship from Edward Liddy, AIG’s outgoing chairman and chief executive, was revealed by the Financial Times on Thursday.
