Norwich Union defends upfront commission

A fight in the group personal pensions market has escalated as Norwich Union, the UK’s biggest insurer, has defended the payment of upfront commissions to intermediaries.

The move draws a line in the emerging battle between those insurers that are moving away from the payment of upfront commission in this market, and those that are continuing with this practice.
