Just off Beijing’s raucous Sanlitun Bar Street a little restaurant called Fish Nation has become an institution for late-night revellers hankering for authentically greasy British-style burgers, fish and chips.

But thanks to the Olympic Games, Fish Nation has had to turn away many a disappointed liquor-soaked customer in recent weeks.
