UK business warns of bail-out loopholes

Business sounded the alarm on Tuesday about apparent assurances on lending in the banking bail-out, warning that banks could still “pull the wool over the eyes” of the government.

Small business representatives will use a meeting on Thursday with Shriti Vadera, the competitiveness minister, to urge her to increase pressure on lenders to support companies hit by cash-flow problems.
