German bankers fear impact of new rules

German bankers and regulators fear that tighter global rules on bank capital may damage the country’s financial system and hamper the flow of credit to the rest of the economy.

The warnings come as world leaders prepare for a summit that will consider stricter curbs on banks following the financial crisis.
