Asian markets dented by credit worries

Stocks in Asia eased on Thursday as persistent concerns that the credit crisis will threaten economic growth across the world took hold again, helping bonds pare earlier losses.

European markets are expected to follow suit, with trading activity drying up as investors take off for the holidays. Financial bookmakers in London see Germany’s Dax and France’s CAC-40 opening flat to slightly lower and Britain’s FTSE 100 opening a touch higher.
