Paramount signs finance deal for 30 films

The fall-out from Paramount's messy separation from Tom Cruise looked to have abated yesterday when the film studio and its Viacom subsidiary struck a $300m film finance deal with Dresdner Kleinwort to make 30 films.

Under the deal, a pool of investors brought together by Dresdner will invest in the Melrose 2 fund to develop a slate of films.
