Investors' fears for dollar earners sparked as sterling soars

Investor concern about dollar earners resurfaced this week when the pound soared to higher than the $2 mark to hit its highest level against the dollar for 26 years.

Most UK companies with operations overseas convert revenues into sterling for the purpose of reporting their accounts, which can be beneficial when currency markets move in their favour.
