Wolters Kluwer’s profit rises 25%

Dutch publisher Wolters Kluwer said on Wednesday its first-quarter core profit rose 25 per cent on revenue growth, acquisitions and cost savings, but excluding its education unit which is being sold.

Earnings before interest, tax and amortisation (EBITA), excluding the education unit, rose to €158m ($214.3m).
