The private company bidding to take over GCap Media turned up the heat on the new chief executive of its target on Sunday as she prepared to persuade shareholders to give her a chance to turn round the UK’s largest commercial radio broadcaster.
In his first public comments on Global Radio’s 190p-a-share bid for GCap, Charles Allen, its chairman, told the Financial Times that he believed the issues facing Fru Hazlitt, GCap’s chief executive, were simple.
