EU leaders urge Blair to let vote go ahead

European Union leaders piled pressure on Tony Blair to surrender part of the UK's controversial EU budget refund or risk plunging Europe into deeper political turmoil.

Seperately, German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder and French President Jacques Chirac urged other European Union countries to continue the voting process to ratify the EU constitution despite its rejection by French and Dutch voters.
