Iran accused the US on Monday of sabotaging its co-operation with the United Nations nuclear watchdog as world powers met in Washington to push for a third round of sanctions against Tehran.

Rasoul Movahedian, Iran’s ambassador to the UK, insisted that western reaction to last week’s report by the International Atomic Energy Agency had been misguided and had ignored the progress achieved in clarifying questions about Iran’s experiments.
