Recovery seen in price of prime homes

Parts of the prime housing market hit hardest in last year’s downturn look to be recovering the fastest, with growing evidence of activity levels and prices increasing in some areas.

Estate agents said buyers had returned to desirable parts of central London and popular country markets in recent weeks, and in some cases were paying close to the peak market price.
