Kraft seeks to overhaul its image

Over the summer, Cadbury moved its headquarters from the splendour of Mayfair’s Berkeley Square to a cheaper and more utilitarian building in a business park near Heathrow. If Kraft has its way, the executives ultimately running the UK confectionery business could soon be based much further afield, at its headquarters in the suburbs of Chicago.

Externally, the grey steel and glass of Kraft’s HQ seem to reflect Cadbury’s unfavourable view of Kraft as “a low-growth conglomerate” that could threaten Cadbury’s more dynamic “pure play” business.
