Beware of merely treating symptoms

Polypharmacy – the practice of prescribing several drugs at once – has always been a high-risk approach for doctors trying to cure a disease. The wrong combination can cause serious adverse reactions.

The same goes for pharmaceutical M&A. Mix up the wrong companies and all that shareholders experience is value destruction.
