Brown calls for Pakistan action on terror

Gordon Brown, the UK prime minister, on Sunday held Pakistan-based militants responsible for exporting most of the al-Qaeda terror plots investigated by British authorities, urging Islamabad to crack down on Islamist fighters operating out of its territory.

Mr Brown spoke out on a whistle-stop tour of south Asia in the wake of the attacks on Mumbai at the end of last month that killed almost 200 people.
