EADS agrees plant sell-off deal

EADS has finally agreed the sell-off its first Airbus components plant in the delayed restructuring of the manufacturing operations of its commercial aircraft division.

Europe’s leading aerospace and defence group said it had signed a contract for the sale of the Airbus site at Laupheim, Germany, to the Diehl/Thales joint venture, which would take over the operational business and assets at the beginning of October. Financial details were not disclosed.
