Investors in the traditionally volatile technology sector may have been surprised by the performance of their holdings over the past few weeks.
While technology-heavy indices such as the TechMark 100 and the Nasdaq have suffered along with the rest of equities, their falls have been rather less than their broader-based equivalents. Over the past month, the Nasdaq has fallen 9.6 per cent and the TechMark 8.9 per cent, against a fall in the FTSE of 12 per cent.
