Technology reinvents itself to recover from the investment blues

Investors in the traditionally volatile technology sector may have been surprised by the performance of their holdings over the past few weeks.

While technology-heavy indices such as the TechMark 100 and the Nasdaq have suffered along with the rest of equities, their falls have been rather less than their broader-based equivalents. Over the past month, the Nasdaq has fallen 9.6 per cent and the TechMark 8.9 per cent, against a fall in the FTSE of 12 per cent.
