Intel director freed on $750,000 bail

Rajiv Goel, a co-defendant in the Galleon Group insider trading case and managing director of Intel’s treasury group, was released on bail for $750,000 on Thursday.

Mr Goel is accused of trading tips about Intel, the world’s biggest chipmaker, with Raj Rajaratnam, who founded Galleon. Mr Goel’s travel is restricted to the eastern and southern districts of New York, New Jersey, California and Ohio.
