Agricultural commodities came under pressure on Tuesday after the US government released its latest update on supply and demand. Gold held near record levels above the $1,100 mark and crude oil consolidated after a strong rise the previous session.
In Chicago, CBOT December corn fell 5 cents, or 1.3 per cent, to $3.81 a bushel, while CBOT December wheat dropped 12 cents, or 2.3 per cent, to $5.08 a bushel and CBOT November soyabeans retreated 13½ cents, or ¼ per cent, to $9.50¾ a bushel.
