Obama seeks nuclear-free Korea

Barack Obama said on Tuesday he would energetically strive to remove nuclear weapons from the Korean peninsula and called on North Korea to stop its belligerent rhetoric and actions.

“We will pursue denuclearisation on the Korean peninsula vigorously, so we have not come to a conclusion that North Korea will or should be a nuclear power,” the US president said at the White House.
