COMPANIES Lookers, the car dealership network, forecast that full-year results would be ahead of last year thanks to the government’s car scrappage scheme and a buoyant independent car parts business.
Peter Jones, chief executive, said trading in the July-September period had been “strong”, particularly in the industry’s critical month of September, when new car registration plate numbers are changed.
