Senior Walt Disney executives will meet on Friday to discuss the company's investment plans and expansion strategy in new media one of three growth areas targeted by the US entertainment group.

Bob Iger, president and chief operating officer, is due to discuss an ambitious business plan for digital content, mobile telephony and the internet with Steve Wadsworth, who heads the company's online operations.
