Honda braced for cutbacks as losses hit

Honda Motor is facing a rare financial loss in the second half of its business year after it slashed projections for sales and profits on Wednesday, amid the global car industry slump.

Japan’s second biggest automaker said it would respond by cutting dividends and management pay and suspending some of its plans to expand production capacity in Japan and abroad.
