GE attacks protection of green industries

Rampant protectionism in environmental industries is undermining the fight against global warming and holding back the creation of green jobs, the world’s biggest manufacturer of clean energy products has warned.

John Krenicki, vice-chairman of GE and chief executive of the group’s energy business, said using climate change as a justification for “green industrial policy” was “extremely dangerous”, and was becoming widespread round the world.
