The final hours of formal negotiating ahead of next month’s international climate change conference in Copenhagen ticked away on Friday without much progress on the key issues inhibiting a global deal to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

Developing countries grouped in the G77 threatened to walk out of the December meeting because they said rich countries were not meeting their obligations under the Kyoto protocol.
