EMI dealmakers to lose jobs

Senior architects of Guy Hands’ poorly timed acquisition of EMI are to lose their jobs after his Terra Firma private equity house was forced to inject more cash into the music group to avoid breaching banking covenants.

Chris Roling, appointed by Mr Hands as EMI’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer, and Ashley Unwin, the music group’s chief operating officer for the UK and North America, are both leaving Terra Firma.
