From Prof Raphael Kaplinksy, Prof Ruth Pearson, Prof Barbara Harriss-White and others.

Sir, We write in our personal capacities, as a community of development professionals, graduate students and support staff working in the area of global development to express our concern at the likely appointment of Paul Wolfowitz as president of the World Bank. However, we are united in our opposition to the appointment of Mr Wolfowitz.
