Diplomats win time over Iran nuclear crisis

The US and Europe have given diplomats crucial breathing space to try to resolve a growing crisis over Iran’s nuclear ambitions, asking on Thursday for a report from United Nations inspectors in three weeks.

At a meeting yesterday of the International Atomic Energy Agency, its board of governors approved a European Union resolution that demanded Iran halt the sensitive atomic work it restarted this week.
