India delays banking licence for UBS

UBS, Switzerland's biggest bank, suffered a blow in India after the central bank, the Reserve Bank of India, delayed a plan to grant it final approval for a commercial banking branch licence.

The central bank has agreed in principle to the licence but suspended the process pending a tax department investigation.
