National Theatre rides to riches

War Horse has been highly acclaimed as one of the most moving theatrical productions of recent years. Now the adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s first world war story is about to become one of the National Theatre’s biggest money-spinners.

The play was transferred to the West End in March, where it has played to full houses at the New London theatre, and its initial six-month run has been extended into 2010.
