The Russian tycoons who are BP's partners in the TNK-BP joint venture are engaged in a "dispute for control" of the company, according to one of them.
Writing in today's Financial Times, Mikhail Fridman, who is TNK-BP's chairman and the largest shareholder in the Russian group that owns half of the venture, described it as a "traditional, commercial dispute about different ambitions for the strategic development of the business".
