Positive finish for bourses

Stocks rebounded in late trading on Thursday after a volatile session for European equities, which finished in positive territory for the first time this week.

Traders said European bourses tracked early gains on Wall Street after the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank reported that its business activity index rose to its highest level since last September, drastically outperforming market forecasts.
