Ford and General Motors on Tuesday added to the evidence of an auto industry recovery, reporting rising sales in October.
“The fundamental story is that sales are on an upward trajectory, so that’s encouraging,” said Jeremy Anwyl, chief executive of Edmunds.com. “The old fundamental of the car business has been having new products, [Ford and GM] have been dinged for not having vehicles people want to buy and that seems to be behind them.”
