Advisers criticised over savings plans

Financial advisers are coming under fire for failing to switch their customers out of poorly performing savings plans before the market soured last year.

Millions of investors holding with-profits policies have suffered another round of bonus cuts this month, reflecting the sharp falls in equity markets. But in spite of the disappointing payouts, pensions experts have expressed concern that many people are still not being advised to switch out of underperforming policies.
