BoI to buy US hedge fund

Bank of Ireland is to pay $183m for a US hedge fund to help beef up its assetmanagement division.

Ireland's second-largest bank will buy 71 per cent of Guggenheim Alternative Asset Management, which has about $2.8bn of assets under management and is part of Guggenheim Partners, the wealth management company.
