JAKARTA, September 23 – China’s $200bn CIC sovereign wealth fund has lent Indonesian coalminer Bumi Resources $1.9bn in its latest move to secure exposure to global commodities.

In less than a week, China Investment Corporation has also bought a 14.5 per cent stake in trading firm Noble Group for $850m and agreed a cooperation pact with commodity trader Glencore.
