Blair faces storm over report by McKinsey

Tony Blair is facing fresh controversy over his links with McKinsey after it emerged that the global consultancy firm is secretly working on a report paving the way for a shake-up at the heart of the government.

The prime minister’s top civil servant, Sir Gus O’Donnell, has commissioned a study from McKinsey into the role of the Cabinet Office, which is traditionally seen as the central control room of government.
