Conagra retreats as US foods flop overseas

Conagra Foods is cutting back its operations in Asia and Europe, as the packaged-food manufacturer shrinks its international operations due to disappointing sales.

The company, one of the biggest packaged-food producers in the US, broke the news to staff in Asia in an e-mail and conference call on Wednesday, a senior employee told the Financial Times.
