Satellite glut keeps prices down to earth

If there were not so many satellites orbiting the earth, the business of providing communications links via outer space could be an extremely profitable one.

Demand for satellite communications is growing, particularly in the US. However, overcapacity in the industry has kept prices down on a global basis, especially for those satellite companies serving the telecommunications sector.
