Danone, the French dairy group with a history of troubled foreign ventures, said on Tuesday that it would make future investments in India “independently” after ending its rocky 13-year partnership with the country’s Wadia Group.
Danone and Wadia, an Indian conglomerate, shared ownership of Indian biscuit group Britannia in a 50-50 joint venture but the partnership descended into acrimony amid disagreements over the French company’s use of the Tiger biscuit brand.
