Treasury market under scrutiny

The US Treasury Department has turned up the heat on dealers in the $4,000bn market for US Treasury securities amid concerns about a rise in questionable trading activities that can distort prices in the cash, repurchase and futures markets.

The New York Federal Reserve has summoned Wall Street dealers to discuss the issues with regulators on Monday.
