Marketing campaign pays off for Baidu

Baidu, China’s largest internet search engine, said yesterday that an aggressive marketing campaign had resulted in an increase in traffic and revenue.

The figures suggest that the controversy late last year about Baidu’s business practices may have no lasting impact on its status as a national champion.
