Top chief executives see pay rise 30% to £3m

Chief executives of the top 100 companies in the UK take home an average of £3m after enjoying a 30 per cent increase in their pay packets over the past year, according to a new survey.

Watson Wyatt, investment consultants, said strong corporate performance had bumped up the performance-related rewards that made an ever-increasing part of executive remuneration.
