Zuma sworn in as South African president

Jacob Zuma on Saturday completed one of the great political comebacks when he was sworn in as South Africa’s fourth black president.

At 19 minutes past 11, four years after he was sacked as deputy president in a whirl of corruption allegations, Mr Zuma took the oath of office as the sun came out over the rain-soaked pavilion of the Union Buildings in Pretoria, the capital.
