Sweden adds to calls for limits to bank bonuses

Sweden on Friday added its voice to growing demands for regulation of bankers’ bonuses and called a meeting of European leaders in a bid to forge a consensus ahead of the G20 summit in Pittsburgh.

Prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, whose country holds the revolving EU presidency, urged European leaders to agree co-ordinated measures to prevent a return to “business as usual” in the financial sector.
